We’re both home and doing well. It’s so nice to have everyone together. The girls are thrilled, and mom and dad are ecstatic but exhausted. He’s a sweet, mellow baby, absolutely made for cuddling.

I’ll have more later, but right now I need a nap :-)

TEN POUNDS? I think you have an undergardener in the making (they do the heavy lifting).

Welcome Alexander William ~ lovely baby, great name. It’s a good thing he didn’t wait any longer to arrive…10+ pounds is impressive, but 11 pounds would be scary!

Colleen, sure hope you, your spouse and daughters are all well and enjoying the bump-up to being a family of six.

Wow—I am totally overwhelmed. Thank you so much to everyone for the well wishes. You know I usually try to respond individually, but time is short (as you can guess :-) ) Please know that I am touched that so many people are celebrating Alex’s birth with us. This is one of the reasons I love the gardenblogging community so much.

      Thank you so much!

Congratulations on bringing home your son! I recently found out we will be welcoming our second child in October.

Our first daughter was born in the middle of June and we lost our ability to focus on anything but her. Thankfully this child will come after our gardening season is over. ;)
