Appreciating the Little Things
Some photos today in celebration of the little things we enjoy at this time of year:

The 'Purple Emperor' sedum is making its appearance.

I love the lime green color of this 'Black Watchman' hollyhock.

The hyacinths are in bud. These are the best-smelling flower in my spring garden.

The purple color of emerging bleeding hearts is always a delight.

Under the lights, I have basil seedlings...

And sturdy little pepper and eggplant seedlings....

And lots of cute little tomato seedlings!
I hope you enjoyed this “mini” tour of our garden today. What’s going on in your garden?

We must live in the same zone: I just saw some of the same plants at the same stage in my mother’s garden today. Nice pictures! Your seedlings are looking good.

I noticed my Autumn Joy sedum this morning. I love the little cabbage stage of sedum in the spring. Your seedlings look fantastic!

I had been away from home visiting an injured daughter and grandsons for two weeks and came home to find real activity, chives, bee balm, lemon balm, horseradish all shooting through the soil – and fat lilac buds. The snow just this weekend left the garden. I’ve got photos on my blog too.

Colleen, isn’t it wonderful to see the new growth? We have sunshine this morning, which looks like heaven to me after enduring several days of cold wind and snow flurries.
Your growth is a little further along than ours, but we’ll be gaining soon. I have a few daffs struggling to pop open. Today might be the day!
Seeds are growing in trays under lights in a couple of upstairs bedrooms..empty since the kids left.
Ah yes, spring has sprung, and all is right with the world
Happy gardening!
